General FAQ:

Where can I get tickets? 

Online: Our tickets are sold through our Eventbrite page until day of show. Occasionally an outside promoter will do their own ticketing. Fees apply.

In Person: You may purchase tickets to upcoming shows up until the day before the show with no fees if paid in cash.  Tickets are available at the bar and at Burrito Burrito.


Are shows all ages? 

Our shows are 18+, 21+ to drink, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or LEGAL guardian.

What time do things kick off? 

Usually doors 7, show around 8. Some dance nights may start doors at 8, some Sunday shows may start earlier. Check event flyer/website

Do you do a Happy hour? 

All day Monday and Tuesday for VCR Vortex and BYOVinyl, and until 7 in Burrito Burrito.

Do you have food? 

Yes! Burrito Burrito is open 12-9 Wed.-Sat. Vegan burritos and burgers. We also sell Nathan’s beef and Impossible Vegan dogs most nights. We also have a variety of snacks including uncrustables, chips, beef jerky and fruit snacks. 

Where do I park? 

Street parking nearby or parking lot on Front Street by Riverfront Park. NO PARKING on the venue side of the street.

Disability accessibility?

Venue on first floor, no stairs, two wheelchair accessible bathrooms


Information for Bands:

Usual Hospitality 

Band members receive 50% off on all drinks. If the show has like 5 bands and a lot of members, the discount will be 25%.

Guest policy

Two guests per band until 50 presales have been reached, then one per band member.

Promo requirements / poster requirements:

Please have a poster at least 4 weeks before the show. Poster must include: Lineup, Date, Time (Doors 7, show 8 UNLESS DIFFERENT TIMES ARE APPROVED BY NO FUN), ticket price, and of course that the show is at No Fun. No AI please. Within the weeks before your show, post regularly and include ticket link when you can. If you want us to print you some posters, we will! Just come by the bar!

Load in

The sound technician is scheduled for 5:30PM and can let you in then. Let us know if you have other needs we can accommodate.

Booking FAQ:

No Fun offers a unique size, location and style of room perfect for more popular bands and legacy acts looking for an intimate and authentic club to play. 

Troy is located just 2.5 hours from large non competing metro markets, and has several smaller markets within that travel to Troy for music. 

Larger shows we have been able to accommodate: Dan Deacon, APTBS, The 5678’s, Terror, Cursive, The Obsessed, Ezra Furman, Metz, Jon Spencer, Rah Digga, Johnny Jewel/Desire, AngelDu$t, Militarie Gun, Gibby Haynes, Haywire, GridIron, Electric Six, White Reaper, and more!

Please understand we receive a high volume of emails and may not get back to you right away. We book lots of kinds of stuff but NO cover bands, tribute acts, jam bands or much solo acoustic style stuff. If you are an out of town band looking to book a show, first reach out to some local bands or promoters. There are lots of great ones! It’s much easier to nail down a date if you have someone in our area attached to the show.
